Assessors' page
Respect assessors have been recruited from a wide range of organisations involved in interventions to reduce and respond to domestic violence and a range of professional disciplines.
They have been specifically trained to carry out assessment against the Respect Accreditation Standard.
Respect Accreditation Standard Assessors’ Manual
The Assessors' Manual describes in detail the processes involved in assessment for accreditation. These processes have been developed, tested, reviewed and revised during the accreditation pilots this year with three member organisations and one non-member. The manual draws on feedback from the pilot organisations and the assessors, as well as lessons from other assessment and accreditation processes.
This manual will be used by all Respect assessors. They will also use an Assessment Workbook for each assessment, in order to ensure that they are collecting all relevant information fairly and rigorously.
Organisations preparing for accreditation may wish to read through the assessors’ manual to get a clearer idea of what will be involved in each stage of accreditation.
Respect assessors have been carefully recruited and trained through an open recruitment process. They are practitioners with many years experience in different domestic violence intervention organisations and settings across the country.
